Concessions

There are concessions available for most performances, although for some productions these may not apply to Friday and Saturday evenings.

The following concession types are generally available, subject to availability. The ones marked with an asterisk (*) are bookable online. All others are available by phone / in person : -

Child* / senior citizen* / full-time student* / Young Scot cardholder / Job Seeker Allowance* / NHS employee / Edinburgh Leisure card holder / people with disabilities / Equity / BECTU members.

Proof of status may be required. Contact the box office on 0131 529 6000 for details when booking tickets.

Groups

Excellent discounts apply for groups of eight or more (some productions require ten or more). Call the Group Sales Department on 0131 529 6005, Monday to Friday from 10am-6pm. Please leave a message on our answering machine outside these hours, or during busy periods, and a member of the team will call you back. Should you have any queries about a production or booking, you may also email the Group Sales Department: groups@eft.co.uk. The team will be happy to help you organise your group's night out at the theatre.

School and Youth Groups

Parties of 10 or more qualify for special discounts on appropriate productions, excluding some Friday and Saturday evenings.  Call the group booking department on 0131 529 6005 for details.

Opening Nights and Matinees

Opening nights and matinees often feature savings on ticket prices. See details when booking online or ask when booking by phone or at the counter.

Young Scot Discount

Get more for less when you use your Young Scot discount at the Festival and King's Theatres. There are two types of Young Scot discount:

Young Scot Advance: Book in advance and get up to £3.00 off the ticket price for selected performances.

Young Scot Standby: All seats are discounted to the lowest concessionary rate for selected performances. Standby tickets are available, in person only, after 12 noon on the day of the performance.
